This article will go over the various custom audiences you can leverage to target people with campaigns. Youโ€™ll get to choose from audiences that are built from shoppers who browsed different areas of your website, engaged with your Facebook page, spent a certain amount of time on the site, changed product variants on a product page, or scrolled through specific pages! What do these categories mean? You can find out this and more below:

Standard Website Audiences ๐Ÿ‘€

Everybody that has viewed a non-product page in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days: Visitors in this audience have engaged with a page on your website that is not a product page. This could be the homepage, a collections page, the about us page, a shipping guide, or a sizing chart.

Everybody that has viewed products in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days: Visitors in this audience have clicked to view a product on your website.

Everybody that has abandoned cart in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days: Visitors in this audience have added to cart on your website.

Everybody that has purchased in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days: Customers in this audience have purchased from your website!

Social Engagement Audiences ๐Ÿคณ

Everybody that has engaged with Facebook in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days: People in this audience have engaged with your Facebook page. This includes everyone who visited your page or engaged with Page's content or ads on Facebook or Messenger.

Custom Pixel Event based Audiences ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Everybody that has spent at least 3 seconds on the website in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days: Visitors in this audience have spent at least 3 seconds on your website.

Everybody that has spent at least 5 seconds on the website in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days:
Visitors in this audience have spent at least 5 seconds on your website.

Everybody that has spent at least 10 seconds on the website in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days:
Visitors in this audience have spent at least 10 seconds on your website.

Everybody that has spent at least 30 seconds on the website in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days:
Visitors in this audience have spent at least 30 seconds on your website.

Everybody that has spent at least 60 seconds on the website in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days:
Visitors in this audience have spent at least 60 seconds on your website.

Everybody that has spent at least 5 minutes on the website in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days:
Visitors in this audience have spent at least 5 seconds on your website.

Everybody that scrolled 50% through a page on the website in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days:
Visitors in this audience have scrolled through 50% of a page on your website.

Everybody that scrolled 75% through a page on the website in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days:
Visitors in this audience have scrolled through 75% of a page on your website.

Everybody that has scrolled 95% through a page on the website in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days:
Visitors in this audience have scrolled through 95% of a page on your website.

Everybody that has changed a product variant in the past 7/14/30/60/90/180 days:
Visitors in this audience have clicked on a product on your website and changed the product variant. This could mean they have changed the colour or size of the product. ย 

How do we create these audiences? ๐Ÿค”

All of the audiences we have created are derived from your pixel and the events fired on this pixel. The standard pixel events are PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart, and Purchase but we have also created custom pixel events. You'll notice these custom events while previewing your pixel on your website.

Pro tip: Install the chrome extension Facebook Pixel Helper to ensure your pixel is firing properly or to just get a better look at what's happening while visitors browse through your website.

Audience Combos We Recommend ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŸ๐Ÿฅ›

โ„๏ธ Looking to re-engage some cold traffic? Here are some audiences you could use:

  1. Include everybody that has viewed a non-product page in the past 90 days, exclude everyone that has viewed a product in the past 90 days. This way you are only targeting people who haven't yet viewed products.

2. Include everyone that has engaged with your Facebook page in the past 90 days, exclude everyone that has viewed a non-product page in the past 90 days. This way, you are only targeting people who have not been to your website in the past 90 days but have engaged on social.


Pro tip: Leverage the Bestsellers or Bestseller Ad Template for this audience and tell them a little about your brand in the ad copy!

๐Ÿ Looking to delight some warm traffic? Here are some audiences you could use:

1. Include everyone that has viewed products in the past 30 days, exclude everyone that has added to cart in the past 30 days.

2. If you have a lot of traffic viewing products on your website, include everyone that has viewed products in the 14 days & everyone that has changed the product variant in the past 14 days, exclude everyone that has added to cart in the past 14 days.

๐Ÿ”ฅLooking to convert some hot traffic? Here are some audiences you could use: ย 

1. Include everyone that has abandoned cart in the past 30 days, exclude everyone that has purchased in the past 30 days.

2. If you have a lot of traffic adding products to cart on your website, Include everyone that has abandoned cart in the past 14 days & everyone that has spent at least 10 seconds on the website in the past 14 days, exclude everyone that has purchased in the past 14 days.
